Internal Sales & Bid Manager

My client is a rapidly expanding waste resource business who has an exciting new role available for an internal sales & bid manager to provide a solid commercial lead for the Operating Divisions of the Group. This role, combining sales support, data reporting and CRM management will help drive consistency across the Commercial team to ensure everyone stays focused and guided towards shared ambitions for the business. Within the Commercial team, this role will be the heartbeat of the group, aiding the team with access to systems and information key to them being successful against their business and personal KPIs. Some of your responsibilities will be, but not limited to; Customer Relationship Management System (CRM); Oversee the development of the CRM system into a workable tool that can be relied upon to capture sales information and produce meaningful reports; Be pivotal in using the system to ensure accurate and relevant information is up to date in order nurture existing customers and win new opportunities using this tool; management of the CRM which is essential to allow the business to grow in line with set targets, budgets and business plans; Drive CRM engagement across the business to ensure all data is captured and employees use this accurately; Seek the team’s views, understand how other companies get the best from their CRM, and share this valuable information with the broader team to allow them to get the very best out of this valuable tool. Develop and issue reports to the wider sales teams to enable them to use factual live data within their decision-making processes; Administration of the CRM setup, including user management and permissions, ensure the team has real-time access to everything they need; Support and train the commercial teams in the use of the CRM system so they can identify, manage, develop and ensure all data is up-to-date, accurate and ‘clean’, so it can be exported, if required, to any future CRM platform; Provide reports and Bid management information for the use of the whole of the Group; Access all tender portals that the business is subscribed to daily, and share all relevant documents with timelines and requirements to the Commercial management team; Work closely with the commercial team to write their bid and tender submissions; Create a timetable/pipeline review for all tenders so employees know when they will back ‘on-cycle’ for the next series of bids, i.e. 2026; Collate scores and results in order to map and improve all submissions going forwards won/lost – reasons why;  Account Management of key customer accounts, ; Working with the Head of Marketing, building templates for quotes and tenders, and ensuring the documents follow the brand guidelines; Liaise with the Group marketing lead in more comprehensive strategic project work, critical to the business delivering its 1,3 and 5-year growth plans; Manage and post periodically on Social media platforms; Deal with all marketing requirements for the business, such as business cards, promotional items, and coordination of web enquiry traffic; Manage the pipeline of new contracts for review, ensuring teams are focused and meet deadlines; Support the Commercial Director with the day to day co-ordination, support and structure of organising a mobile commercial sales team. In order to be considered for this role you will have; proven 5+ years working in the waste management industry including hazardous and industrial services; Ability to effectively manage the demands of multiple Sales teams; Ability to read and digest commercial contracts and highlight risks; Be a strong team player and be able to work at a variety of levels across the whole business.

Head of Hazardous Waste

My client is a leading waste resource business who are looking for an experienced Head of Hazardous waste to add value to their growth activities by identifying new commercial opportunities and managing customer relationships, driving and leading a team to hit business goals and targets. You will keep abreast of trends and market conditions, lead and influence commercial markets, Government bodies and authorities within the sector by upselling the businesses expertise in the industry.  Some of your responsibilities will be but not limited to; developing and implementing commercial strategies, driving company goals and objectives targeted to accelerate growth; conducting market research and analysis, create detailed fully budgeted business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development); take the lead in understanding and managing the requirements of existing customers ensuring they deliver first class products and services; lead and drive the strategy to attract the growth of new customers and manage client relationships; build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders; engage and drive on-time profitable delivery through the diverse teams (marketing, sales, customer service); drive and lead the performance of commercial activities demonstrable through key metric deliverable reports to the senior management team; ensure contracts and quotes are unambiguous, clearly and formally documented, filed centrally to make a sound return on investment and signed off at the appropriate level; key responsibility for the recruitment, development, motivation, training and leading of the hazardous waste team; ensure the sales team have clearly defined direction, are motivated to deliver against well laid out key performance indicators and targets.; aid and mentor the sales team to convey legally compliant, safe solutions to customer needs from a variety of industries in a clear concise and understandable way; manage costs and all factors affecting the profitability of the business; participate and share in the development of the business and site operations to improve future performance and/or compliance; be a key stakeholder in the management and development of off-take opportunities for the business; to be a significant contributor to the current and long-term direction of the business, working very closely with the Senior Management team. In order to be considered you will be; A seasoned professional within the waste management sector, being a strong influencer both internally within a business, as well as  being know to external interested parties as a reputable leader within this sector; Minimum of 5 years sales leadership management experience, working within hazardous waste or similar industry; Previous experience of working in a fast paced and diverse environment, requiring a dynamic and adaptable nature with an excellent commercial and marketing background; Customer facing experience and accustomed to receiving unexpected demands and tasks with unscheduled or unspecific deadlines; Excellent organisational and leadership skills; Demonstrable experience of engaging, leading and driving the performance of people; Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; Proven experience in sales and managing relationships with key clients; In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis; Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes; Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mind-set; The ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups – both written and oral including the ability to present at all levels; A working knowledge of all relevant UK statutory legislation, Company policy and procedures – covering Health and Safety, Employment Law, Environmental and Transport Regulations; Working knowledge of the sales IT programs necessary to record input/output of key tasks; A high level of commitment, the ability to work under pressure and meet strict customer and company deadlines; Experience of budget preparation and control.

Technical Energy Advisor

My client is a leading Energy Services provider who now have the opportunity for a Technical Energy Advisor to be based in the South and covering areas across the M25, London and the South. This is an exciting opportunity to join their Energy and Innovation team. The main purpose of the role is to assist in the provision of technical advice and support on low carbon and energy efficiency services to both internal and external clients; Conduct a range of technical assessments independently on site (energy assessments, retrofit assessments, thermal imaging surveys, air tightness tests); Model data in software to identify improvement recommendations for buildings; Prepare technical reports to identify energy efficiency solutions for clients; Analysis of housing stock data to identify opportunities for energy efficiency works; Assistance with pre- and post- works performance monitoring reporting; Liaise effectively with Ops Teams and call centre in the delivery of work; Keep up to date with required CPD hours for accreditation body satisfaction; Assist with Retrofit Coordination on live schemes. In order to be considered for this role you will have; Domestic Energy Assessor / Retrofit Assessor or other building assessor experience; Ability to take dimensions and produce floor plans of complex buildings; Ability to use software (SketchUp) to create 2D and 3D models of buildings; Mathematical skills to calculate dimensions (floor area, volume) of buildings; Good understanding of low carbon and energy efficiency technologies; Ability to liaise with external organisations working to strict deadlines; Possess a pro-active approach to work; Literate in MS Office; Good verbal and written communication skills; Relevant Health & Safety Training; Comfortable driving to a variety of sites (primarily across London and the South) 2-4 times a week as necessary; full UK Driving license.
